I did that a few time. It's pretty fun, esp when you use the Aura and Wrath; all the skeletons die instanly in a big pile
I was actually getting really good drops untill like the thrid time that I came back and did it again.

Yeah I soloed the undead hordes with my air nuking e/me. I didn't farm it though. Didn't think to at the time. When I did it with him, it was before all the nerfing. I found around 3 purples, and 2 golds. It was great.

Perhaps I should be trying to dodge? Maybe I should load Sprint?
This should be much easier once I hit level 20. =/

Unless you are Warrior primary you will only get 8 secounds out of it as it attribute is strengh.I use balance stance if useing henchies it would be nice if they had charge in Desert as they do in the S Shiverpeaks. It is to bad it isn't attributed to tactics.

If you have warrior as either of your classes, hydras are very easy to solo. Balanced stance. Ironically, they're a monster which you can farm better doing normal combat than monk smiting, since taking on enough hydras to make smiting more effective would get you 1-hitted in their first barrage of spells.

Yep I use the warrior signet, that doylak thing, so they cannot knock me down, and my meteorstorm, in combo with some melee things, and its clean up time

Not true. Spellbreaker makes them completely ineffective until you've got them gathered together. Throw on a seed after it runs out and smite them do death. With protective bond at 1 energy per hit and low health (105 or less) they'll not be able to do any harm.

What, do you read what other people post and then coin it as your own or something?

Despite every farmers dream of doing it, and something every even remotely decent monk would know, is that you can't seed yourself....

Would choking gas work to prevent the horde of hydras from casting meteor and fireball?

Probably only 1. Range on choking gas isn't all that great, unfortunately.
I solod them with my W/E regularly when all the henchies died. After watching hanchies get cremated within 2 seconds of meeting a group, I would just give up and solo the area to the next zone. (this was prior to Lina being available. Henchies probably have a MUCH higher survival rate there now.) Armor of Earth made the damage quite managable.
